Anita Nayak from Jaitaran belongs to a low income group with her father being the only breadwinner of the family. A challenge to make ends meet on a daily basis, farmers in eastern Rajasthan are known to have difficult lives due to the lack of water availability which affects their crop production. But while Anita worked hard in her studies and completed her graduation, she still couldn't secure a decent job.
On the other hand, Rajni faced life's blows with an early marriage, divorce, lack of education and unemployment. Hailing from a small village in Jaitaran, carrying all baggage she never gave up fighting and keeps moving on. Her biggest support, her maternal family stood by her through the storm thus making her stronger. But she lived with guilt as she was dependent on her parents and wanted to do something about it.
Anita came across SEDI and completed her course in Customer Relationship Management finally being able to gain placement as an Emergency Response Officer at GVK-EMRI (108 Emergency Services) Jaipur. With a secured job and monthly salary of Rs. 9,000, she is now able to contribute to the family's income and release her father from any debts.
Due to being uneducated, Rajni had a challenge even to secure a job and all doors closed in front of her. Her last resort was to enroll into SEDI and hopefully secure a job by joining the Account Assistant using Tally course. Fortunately she was placed as a Sales Executive at Reliance Trends on a salary of Rs. 8,500 per month.
In spite of the ongoing pandemic, Anita has continued to work and serve the community as a true Corona warrior for the past 6 months avoiding use of any annual leave. Her parents are very proud of her and amazed by the fact that their daughter is supporting them in the family income.
Rajni's life has improved after her placement and she feels more secure and confident. The team at SEDI invites women like Rajni who are motivated, enthusiastic and sure to improve life through SEDI courses and placement.
